The 25 year journey of MIT has been a continuous process in the pursuit of excellence not only in the field of Engineering, Technology, Research, Management, Environment and Pollution Control but also towards promoting human values and attaining the ultimate goal of world peace. One of the highlights of MIT’s achievements is a massive environmental improvement and pollution control project on the banks of Indrayani River at Alandi and Dehu, the homes of saints Shri Dnyaneshwara and Shri Tukaram respectively.

MIT has a well-established research and consultancy services division for promoting research work in modern scientific and technological areas.
MIT has established Innovation and Research Center recently to carry out research in the area of Light Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication, Robotics and Rapid Prototyping.
MIT has a separate training centre for public speaking and human dynamics, established to enhance communication skills and instill self-confidence.
MIT has been providing opportunities and all the facilities, which will help its students and faculty members to grow intellectually and spiritually.
MIT has produced outstanding scholars and sportsmen, a fine blend of intellectuals and champions who have brought great honor and pride to their parents, the Institute and the Country.


Institutional Milestones In August 1983 at the time of inception, MIT started the following five UG programmes with an intake of 240 students

» Mechanical Engineering
» Civil Engineering
» Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering
» Petroleum Engineering
» Polymer Engineering

In the last 25 years the Institute has grown by leaps and bounds. Today the Institute is running nine different disciplines with a total intake of 540 students. The new UG programmes are as follows

» Mechanical Sandwich (Started in 1984)
» Computer Engineering (Started in 1985)
» Petrochemical Engineering (Started in 1989)
» Information Technology (Started in 2001)

Postgraduate courses in following disciplines were started during the last five years

» Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering) (Started in 1998)
» Petroleum Engineering (Started in 1998)
» Polymer Engineering (Started in 2001)
